Services

I believe in the power of connection. Whatever you may be struggling with at the moment, you don't need to do the work alone. I provide my clients with emotional support and help them develop their unique strengths and abilities into effective coping skills.

Some of the most common issues clients bring to me are relational problems, stress from life transition, and difficult emotions like anxiety and depression. Read on to learn more about my work with each of these issues, and if you can relate to any of these situations then let's talk.

Relationships

Are you frustrated with the communication patterns in your relationship? Have you suddenly discovered that you no longer have anything in common with your partner? Has there been infidelity in your relationship, or are you wondering whether or not you and your partner should still be together? I work with individuals and couples who are unhappy in a relationship to identify problematic behaviors and find ways to reconnect.

Life Transitions

We all have hopes and dreams that we work for weeks, months, even years to achieve. However, no matter how dedicated and driven we are or how responsibly we act, our best-laid plans can still be derailed by life.

Divorce & Co-Parenting

Divorce is more common nowadays, yet couples and families still struggle with how to grieve the loss, adjust to living separately and, sometimes, blending families. I work with couples who are considering divorce to examine all possible options and, if divorce is the decided path, to develop ways of respecting each other and showing compassion to each other’s individual needs while getting closure and moving forward.

For divorced couples with children, I help parents develop effective co-parenting skills that honor the new family boundaries and provide what is best for the children. Divorce is rarely quick and painless, and old relationship wounds between the couple frequently bleed into the co-parenting relationship, affecting the children. I work with divorced couples that are willing to work through and resolve old hurts in order to strengthen the integrity of the parenting relationship.

Gay and lesbian couples can face unique dilemmas when dissolving a marriage that perhaps was never legally recognized or that involved adopted children; often it’s not so easy to sever ties and go separate ways amicably. I work with gay and lesbian couples to address their particular needs and concerns and formulate relationship boundaries that suit the whole family.
